Delete your data

How to remove what EVERJUST.APP holds: a connected Google or Microsoft account, imported mail, a mailbox, or a whole workspace. If Google or Microsoft sent you here to learn how to delete the data an app received from your account, this is the page.

Disconnect a Google or Microsoft account

  1. Open your workspace and go to Settings, then Connections.
  2. Find the account and choose Disconnect.

Syncing stops, and the access and refresh tokens we stored for the account are deleted from your workspace database. Calendar events already copied into your workspace are workspace content like any other. Disconnect first, then delete them in Calendar if you want them gone from your workspace: deleting a synced event while the account is still connected can delete it from your Google or Microsoft calendar too. If you cannot reach your workspace, revoke access at Google or Microsoft as described below, and email us to have the stored tokens deleted.

Revoke access at Google or Microsoft

  • Google: open myaccount.google.com/permissions, choose EVERJUST.APP, and remove its access.
  • Microsoft, personal account: open account.live.com/consent/Manage, choose EVERJUST.APP, and remove its access.
  • Microsoft, work or school account: remove the app from your organization's app permissions. Your administrator can do this too.

Revoking access at the provider stops our access. To remove the stored tokens as well, disconnect in Settings or email us. What we receive from Google and Microsoft, and why, is described in the privacy policy.

Delete imported mail, or any mail

Imported mail is stored in a mailbox in your workspace like any other mail. The password or sign-in you gave us for an import is never stored, so there is nothing to disconnect.

  1. In the webmail, select the messages and delete them. They move to Trash.
  2. Open Trash and use Empty Trash, or Delete forever on single messages, to remove them for good.

Empty Trash is arriving with an update and may not be in your workspace yet. If you do not see it, email us and we will remove the messages for you.

Imported mail is a copy. The original stays with your other provider until you delete it there.

Delete a mailbox

A workspace administrator can delete a mailbox in Settings, then Mail, then Mailboxes. Deleting a mailbox deletes every message and attachment in it. This cannot be undone. Earlier backups may still hold the messages; see what is not deleted straight away.

Turn off notifications

Block notifications for the site in your browser or device settings, or choose Nothing under Tell me about in Settings, then Notifications. The push subscription we stored for a device stays until it is deleted. Email us and we will remove the ones stored for you.

Delete a workspace and everything in it

  1. Export what you need first; see Export your data.
  2. Email company@everjust.co from the address of a workspace administrator, naming the workspace address and asking for the workspace to be deleted.
  3. We check that the request comes from an administrator of that workspace, delete its database and files, including any stored tokens for connected accounts, and reply to confirm when it is done. A person at EVERJUST.APP does this by hand.

Cancelling your license in the billing portal stops future charges. It does not delete the workspace: your workspace stays available through the period you have paid for, and we delete its data when you ask us to.

If your data is in someone else's workspace

If your mailbox or calendar is in a workspace run by your employer or another organization, that organization's administrators control the data in it, and the quickest route is to ask them. You can also email company@everjust.co and a person will reply.

What is not deleted straight away

  • Backups. We take a backup of every workspace database before every platform update. We do not expire these backups automatically, so there is no fixed period after which they go. Something you delete inside a workspace stays in earlier backups until those backups are deleted. When we delete a workspace at your request, we also remove it from the backups we hold and tell you when that is done.
  • Copies elsewhere. Mail you sent has been delivered to its recipients. Mail sent from a connected Gmail, Outlook, or Microsoft 365 address may also be kept in that account's Sent folder at Google or Microsoft. EVERJUST does not delete anything in your Gmail or Outlook, so delete it there if you want it gone. Events synced from Google or Microsoft also exist in your Google or Microsoft calendar. Delete them there too if you want them gone everywhere.
  • Payment records. Stripe keeps its own payment records under its own terms and legal obligations. We may keep records of what was charged and when for as long as the law requires for accounting and tax.
  • Operational logs. Standard server logs are kept briefly for security and reliability, as the privacy policy describes.
  • The iPhone app. Deleting your account in the EVERJUST iPhone app removes your app data. Two small records survive, which the iPhone app section of the privacy policy describes.
