Client forms & profile self-service
Two light features round out the portal. Forms puts any questionnaire you assign to a client on their Forms page, with a status and a link to fill it in. My Profile lets a client view and update their own contact details, and you decide field by field what they can see and what they can change. Both are scoped to each client's own record, so one client never sees another's forms or details.
Send a form to a client
You build a questionnaire with the Surveys app, then assign it to the client contact. Assigning it creates the client's own copy, and that copy shows up on their portal.
- In Surveys, open the survey you want the client to fill in.
- Share it with the client's contact so they get their own response to complete.
- The form appears under Forms in the client's portal.
On their Forms page, the client sees each assigned form with a status badge, To do, In progress, or Completed, and a link that reads Fill out or Continue. The portal lists forms and opens them; there is no way for a client to create a form themselves.
Choose which profile fields clients manage
You decide which contact fields a client can see on My Profile and which they can change. This is set per field under Settings → Portal → Profile Fields.
- Open Settings → Portal → Profile Fields.
- For each field, set the View and Edit toggles.
- Save.
You can expose phone, mobile, website, job position, and tax ID. Out of the box, phone and website are set to view and edit, and job position is view only. Internal notes are never available to clients.
What the client does on My Profile
The client opens My Profile in their portal and sees the fields you set to view. They change the ones you set to edit, and the change writes straight back to their contact record in your workspace. A client can update only their own details, and only the fields you allow.
