Live Chat

Live Chat puts a chat widget on your website so visitors can reach you without a phone call or an email. A visitor opens the widget, an available operator answers, and the whole conversation is saved on that visitor's contact record. You set up channels to decide which pages show the widget and which operators answer, and you can turn any conversation into a CRM lead so a promising chat lands in your pipeline. Most workspaces have Live Chat from day one; it installs alongside CRM.
Already on for most workspaces
Live Chat installs with CRM, so most workspaces have it from the start. If yours doesn't, an admin turns it on from the Apps page. See Turn apps on and off.
What you can do
- Answer visitors in real time. A visitor types in the widget and an operator replies from the chat window.
- Route with channels. A channel sets which pages show the widget and which operators are on it.
- Save every transcript. The full conversation is stored on the visitor's contact, so the next person who talks to them has the history.
- Reuse canned responses. Save short replies for common questions and drop them in without retyping.
- Turn a chat into a lead. When a conversation looks like a sales opportunity, create a CRM lead from it.
Set up live chat
- Turn on Live Chat from the Apps page if it isn't already on.
- Open Live Chat and create a channel. Name it and add the operators who will answer.
- Set the channel's rules for which pages show the widget.
- Add canned responses for questions you answer often.
- Publish the widget so it appears on your site.
- When a chat is worth following up, create a CRM lead straight from the conversation.
