Surveys

Surveys

Surveys builds questionnaires, quizzes, and feedback forms. Pick from nine question types, show follow-up questions only when an earlier answer calls for them, and score answers when you need a pass mark. Share a survey by email invitation or a public link, then watch responses land in live charts with a per-question breakdown. Use it for customer feedback, NPS, or assessments that end in a certificate.

Not seeing Surveys?

Surveys is not part of every workspace by default. An admin turns it on from the Apps page — see Turn apps on and off.

What you can do

  • Ask any kind of question. Nine question types: multiple choice with one or many answers, short and long text, a number, a scale, a date, a date and time, and a matrix of choices.
  • Branch with logic. Conditional display shows a question only to people who picked a specific earlier answer.
  • Score it. Mark the correct answers, set a pass mark, and choose whether people see the answers afterward.
  • Certify. A certification emails everyone who passes their certificate.
  • Share anywhere. Email invitations with a personal link per person, or one public link anyone can answer.
  • Watch results live. Charts and per-question breakdowns as responses come in, exportable for deeper analysis.

Build a survey

  1. Open Surveys and create a new survey.
  2. Add your questions, picking a type for each: multiple choice with one or many answers, short or long text, a number, a scale, a date, a date and time, or a matrix.
  3. Group a long survey into sections, and set the Pagination: one page per question, one page per section, or everything on one page.
  4. To branch, open a question's Conditional display settings and pick the earlier answers that trigger it. People who answered differently never see the question.
  5. Click Test to run through the survey yourself before you share it.

Share it and collect responses

  1. Set the Access Mode: Anyone with the link for an open survey, or Invited people only to restrict it to the people you invite. Turn on Require Login if every answer must be tied to a signed-in person.
  2. Click Share. Add recipients to send email invitations (each person gets a personal link), or copy the link and post it anywhere.
  3. Set limits where they fit: a maximum number of attempts per person, a time limit in minutes, and whether people can go back to previous pages.

Score a quiz or run a certification

  1. Set Scoring on the survey: show the answers after each page, show them at the end, or score without showing answers at all.
  2. Mark the correct answers on your questions and give each a score.
  3. Set the Required Score (%) — the pass mark. The default is 80.
  4. For a certification, turn on Is a Certification. Everyone who reaches the pass mark gets an email with their certificate; pick the certificate layout on the survey.
  5. To also grant a badge on success, turn on Give Badge. Badges need Require Login, because they attach to signed-in people.

Read the results

  1. Click See results on the survey. The results page shows a chart and a breakdown per question, updating as responses come in.
  2. The survey form shows counts for Registered and Attempts, and on scored surveys the average score and the success ratio.
  3. For deeper analysis, export the responses from the answers list to a spreadsheet.
