Appointments

Appointments

Appointments gives you a public booking page where customers pick a time without logging in. You define the services people can book: how long each one runs, who staffs it, and which hours are open. A booking confirms on the spot. It creates an event on the assigned staff member's Calendar, emails the customer a confirmation, and, on services you flag for it, opens a lead in CRM. Appointments is not part of the default workspace; an administrator turns it on before anyone can book.

Appointments is off until you turn it on

Appointments is not in the default set of apps. An administrator activates it from the Apps page, which also switches on the public website and CRM it relies on. If you would rather we enable it for your workspace, ask us.

What you can do

  • Publish a booking page. Every published service appears at /appointment on your site. Customers pick a service, a day, and a time with no account.
  • Offer several services. Each service is its own appointment type with its own length, staff, and open hours. See Appointment types & availability.
  • Keep double-booking out. A time is offered only when a staff member is free at that moment, checked against their Calendar.
  • Turn a booking into work. Confirming a booking writes a calendar event, sends a confirmation email, and can open a CRM lead. See Take and manage bookings.

How a booking flows

Step What happens
Customer books a published service Booking is created and confirmed
Confirmation Calendar event on the staff member's schedule

Get your first booking page live

  1. Activate Appointments from the Apps page.
  2. Open AppointmentsConfigurationAppointment Types.
  3. Review the starter services already there (see below) and unpublish or edit the ones you do not want live.
  4. Create your own type: set its length, staff, and weekly hours. Follow Appointment types & availability.
  5. Publish it, then open /appointment on your site to see your booking page.

The starter services

Appointments installs with three example services already published: a free consultation, an on-site estimate, and a follow-up meeting, each open Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 17:00. Because they are published, your booking page goes live the moment you activate the app. Review these first, then unpublish or rewrite the ones that do not fit your business.

Who can manage Appointments

Activating the app takes an administrator. To use the backend app, a staff member needs the Appointments role, which an administrator grants under Settings → Users. The User role reads and creates bookings; the Manager role also controls types and open hours. Someone without either role does not see the app. Details are in Appointment types & availability.
