Mail is real email built into your workspace. You read, write, and organize messages at an address on your own domain — you@yourcompany.com — without leaving the platform. It comes with every workspace: open Mail from the app grid, or click the envelope in the top bar, which shows a live unread count. New mail arrives in real time, with a notification and an optional chime.
The layout is three panes: folders and labels on the left, the message list in the middle, and the reading pane on the right. On a phone, the panes stack into one.
What you can do
- Work a full inbox. Threaded conversations, the standard folders, stars, labels, and bulk actions. See Read, search & organize.
- Find anything. Search with operators:
from:,to:,subject:,has:attachment,is:unread, and more. - Write with a complete composer. Cc and Bcc, rich text, attachments up to 25 MB, reply-all, forward with the original quoted, and drafts that autosave. See Compose & send.
- Answer as a team. Shared mailboxes like support@ that many people read and reply from. See Shared team inboxes.
- Get straight answers on delivery. A message either queues for delivery or you see the specific reason it did not go. Sent messages carry a status chip.
- Send as your company. Once your domain is verified, mail goes out as you@yourcompany.com. See Mail administration & deliverability.
Read your first message
- Open Mail from the app grid.
- Click a message in the list. It opens in the reading pane and is marked read. A conversation opens as a stack of cards, newest expanded.
- Use the icons above the message to Reply, Reply all, or Forward.
If Mail shows "No mailbox yet", an administrator creates your mail identity in Settings → Mail — see Mail administration & deliverability.
Safer by default
Message bodies render inside a sandbox, so a script inside an email never runs in your workspace. Images load automatically so mail looks right, and you can turn remote images off under Settings → Reading & privacy when you would rather not fetch the tracking pixels some senders hide in them — the reader then holds them back until you click Show images on a message you trust. Pictures embedded in a message always display.
Your mail settings
Click the gear in the Mail sidebar to open Settings — Mail keeps its own settings, so you set them where you read your mail instead of hunting through a separate admin screen. Everything here is personal to you, follows you between devices, and takes effect as soon as you change it.
- Signature. A rich-text signature — bold, italic, lists, and links — added to the bottom of messages you send. Each mailbox keeps its own. See Compose & send.
- Reading & privacy. Load images in messages is on by default; turn it off to block remote images and the tracking pixels some senders hide in them.
- Notifications. Play a sound when new mail arrives — on by default.
- Compose — undo send. Hold a message for a few seconds after you hit Send so you can take it back. Choose Off, 5, 10, 20, or 30 seconds; new mailboxes start at 10. See Compose & send.

Sending from your own domain is a guided setup
Your workspace sends only from verified domains. We connect your domain with you — ask us, publish the short list of DNS records we provide, and sending switches on once the domain verifies. Details in Mail administration & deliverability.
