Organize & share

An article is only useful if the right people can read it. Wiki lets you set who reads and who edits, and link articles to the records they explain.

Set permissions

Each article has its own access settings. Decide who can edit and who can only read.

  1. Open the article.
  2. Open its sharing settings.
  3. Pick the people or groups who can edit.
  4. Pick who can read.

An editor changes the content. A reader sees the article but cannot change it. Set these per article, so a draft stays restricted while a finished guide stays open.

Internal or wider

Keep an article internal when it holds private process or notes. Internal articles stay inside the company.

Share an article more widely when it helps people outside one team. Open up the read access to the groups who need it.

Reference an article where the work happens. Paste the article link into a record's chatter or description, and your team jumps from the deal or task straight to the instructions. This keeps the knowledge close to the work it supports.
