Set up a register

A register in EVERJUST Point of Sale is one configuration you sell from. You set it up once, then open a session each time you trade.

Create the configuration

Add a new Point of Sale configuration and give it a name, such as Front Counter. The configuration holds the settings for that register. You can create more than one if you run several tills.

On the configuration you set:

  1. The payment methods the register accepts, such as cash and card.
  2. The product selection shown on the screen. Limit it to what this register sells so cashiers find items fast.

Connect hardware

Hardware is optional. EVERJUST Point of Sale runs on a plain browser, and you add devices when you need them:

  • A receipt printer to print customer receipts.
  • A barcode scanner to add products by scan.

Connect each device and select it on the configuration so the register knows to use it.

Run a session

A session is one shift on the register:

  1. Open a session and enter your opening cash.
  2. Sell to customers through the session.
  3. Close the session at the end of the shift.

Closing counts the cash and reconciles it against the sales, so you catch any gap before you finish.
